STORAGE PROTOCOLS

Detailed report on how QuizRealm handles temporary data, caching, and local storage mechanisms.

1. Local Storage vs Cookies

QuizRealm operates differently from most websites. Instead of tracking you with server-side Cookies, we use a modern browser technology called Local Storage.

The difference is critical: Cookies send data back to a central server with every click. Local Storage keeps data strictly on your device. We literally cannot see your data.

02. What We Store

We only save data that improves your gameplay experience. This includes:

  • Game Progress: XP, Level, and Unlocked Achievements.
  • Preferences: Selected theme, sound settings, or nickname.
  • Streaks: Timestamps to calculate your daily login streak.

03. Third-Party Cookies

While QuizRealm does not set its own tracking cookies, we use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may place a cookie on your browser to serve ads relevant to your interests based on your visits to this and other websites.

You can manage your ad preferences directly via Google's Ad Settings.

04. Data Deletion

Since we do not have a central database of your profile, we cannot "delete" your account for you—because you hold the keys. To wipe your progress completely:

Browser Settings > Privacy > Clear Browsing Data > "Cookies and Site Data"
