The Science of Sound Waves
Resonance is a spatial and logic puzzle that challenges you to perfectly calibrate analog audio signals. To succeed, you must manipulate the three core properties of trigonometric waveforms.
Amplitude (Height)
Amplitude measures the energy of the wave. Visually, it dictates how tall the peaks and valleys are. In audio terms, increasing the amplitude increases the sheer volume of the sound.
Frequency (Speed)
Frequency measures how many wave cycles occur over a period of time. Higher frequencies compress the waves closer together. Sonically, increasing the frequency raises the pitch of the note.
Phase (Position)
Phase determines where the wave cycle begins. Adjusting the phase will not change the shape or height of the wave, but will physically slide it left or right along the timeline axis.
